Tomorrow is the first day of summer – and what better way to celebrate than out on the water?
Luckily for those who live here, Utah is synonymous with boating. We have over 100 bodies of water in the state considered “boatable.” That means that no matter where you live in Utah, you are within an hour of getting out on the lake.
Boating is a big business in Utah. You can’t drive down a residential street without seeing at least one house that is storing a boat of one size or another. From fishing boats to kayaks to speedboats to ski boats to sailboats…we love ‘em all! And the boating community is one of the most welcoming and inclusive groups of people I know. Everyone just wants to have fun!
But where exactly are the best places to boat in Utah? First, check out Utah.com for tips and information about boating in Utah. My favorite locales are definitely Flaming Gorge and Lake Powell. Or, if you are looking for something a little more quiet and secluded, try Navaho Lake near Cedar City or Joe’s Reservoir smack dab in the middle of the state near Price.
So get out on the lake this summer. Whether you like to fish, water ski or just putt around, you can’t beat the Utah waters!
