Good music, tasty food, warm sunshine and friends. It really doesn’t get much better than that. And lucky for you, Utah offers all of that and more at its outdoor summer concert venues. From locations highlighting Utah’s rocky landscapes to starry-night venues, we’ve put together a summer guide to the state’s top outdoor concert venues because let’s face it—there’s simply no better way to spend a warm summer’s evening than by rocking out to great tunes with good company.
Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater—With the return of summer comes the revival of Park City’s mesmerizingly beautiful Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater at Deer Valley Resort. Here, world-renowned artists, headliner musicians and local bands gather to offer an eclectic variety of tunes during Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s Deer Valley ® Music Festival, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series and more! This month’s talents include Grace Potter, a rock and roll band with pitch perfect vocals, Kristin Chenoweth who will bring her memorable show tunes from Wicked and Glee center stage, and Lee Brice, Nashville’s chart topping CMA award-winning performer with top hits including “Hard to Love” and “I Don’t Dance.” Check out other performers and get your tickets here.
Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre—The Red Butte Garden, located on 100 acres in the foothills on the eastern edge of the University of Utah, is most commonly known for its amazing display of gardens, plant collections and hiking trails. But Red Butte Gardens also boasts the ideal backdrop for outdoor concerts, which is why an amphitheatre was created for that very reason. Talk about music with a view! The venue offers luscious greenery, rugged mountain scenery and spectacular crimson sunsets during evening performances. August highlights include the Alabama Shakes, John Fogerty, the Utah Symphony and more. Get your tickets before they sell out here!
