A Treat for the Whole Family

Get ready for a treat! With Halloween just around the corner, Utah is hosting a series of spooky events this week that will leave you and your children screaming for more.

1. Munchkin Radio Family Friendly Haunted House
14734 Cedar Knoll Circle, Herriman

For those of you that are seeking a more “adrenalin-filled” night of fun, check out the Munchkin Radio haunted house on November 1 from 6-9 pm. This attraction features Halloween’s classic villains from witches and zombies to skeletons and clowns and, as the name suggests, it’s kid friendly.

2. Cornbelly’s Corn Maze, Big Halloween Bash and Pumpkin SMASH
Thanksgiving Point, Lehi

This is the corn maze that started the corn maze craze in Utah. Cornbelly’s is one of the biggest fall destinations in Utah with countless fun activities. On October 31, enjoy the Big Halloween Bash with daytime costume contests and trick-or-treating, plus a night-time concert, fireworks and grand finale. Other Big Halloween Bash events include a DJ dance party, scary-oke contest and pie eating contest. Then, on November 1, bring your leftover pumpkins down for the 3rd-annual Pumpkin SMASH, a “smash’em, bash’em kind of day at Corbelly’s.” And of course, you can treat yourself to what made Cornbelly’s famous: the 12-acre corn maze.

3. Haunted Forest
American Fork

A Utah favorite for over 20 years, The Haunted Forest takes visitors through a real forest full of scary surprises. Not your average walk in the woods, the Haunted Forest also has two indoor attractions. Open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 pm to 10 pm (open until midnight on Sat).

4. Odyssey Dance “Thriller”
Eight locations throughout Utah

Odyssey Dance Theatre will present its smash Halloween hit “Thriller” in eight locations this year. A spectacular Halloween tradition, this year’s show will include favorite pieces from the past, like Thriller, The Curse of the Mummy and Jason Jam, plus a few new surprises. Visit the website for locations and showtimes.

5. WitchFest
Gardner Village, West Jordan

The witches come out each year in Gardner Village for WitchFest, a beloved tradition for many Utah families. Join Lucinda, the Gardner Village Witch, and her witchy friends for a ghoulishly good time. Activities this week include the Witch Scavenger Hunt, Witchapalooza and Breakfast with a Witch, the Wee Witches Playground and more. Visit the Gardner Village website for dates and times.

These are just some of our favorite events for Halloween 2014 in Utah. What are some of your favorites? Let us know in the comments!
