2015 Utah Best of State Winners Announced

The 2015 Utah Best of State results are in! Now in its 13th year, the Utah Best of State Award program acknowledges excellence in a vast array of industry sectors including business, entertainment, education, hospitality, retail, technology and sports. The program is dedicated to recognizing and promoting outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations throughout Utah.

When compiling this comprehensive list, the Best of State judges focus on three areas of overall excellence: superiority and quality of products and performance, the creativity nominees display to differentiate themselves from their competition, and dedication to improving their community.

For the fourth time, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has received the Utah Best of State Award in the Real Estate/Appraisal category. Coldwell Banker was honored for its achievements in the real estate industry overall, for its innovation and creativity, and for its contribution in improving the quality of life for Utah residents.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is the number one real estate services company along the Greater Wasatch Front with sales volume of more than $1.5 billion last year, according to the Wasatch Front Regional Multiple Listing Service. The company has also been an industry leader in deploying groundbreaking technology platforms for its 650 agents and their clients all across Utah. Additionally, the company has made a difference in the lives of countless Utah residents through its Coldwell Banker Community Foundation, which allows agents and staff to contribute a fixed amount out of each paycheck or closing check from a home sale. Last year alone, the foundation raised more than $76,000 for a variety of organizations in the local community, including the Utah Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, and many other non-profits.

A sampling of the other 2015 winners includes Hobble Creek Golf Course (Golf Program),  Salt Lake Bees (Pro & Semi-pro Sports), Octappella (A Cappella Group), Utah Conservatory of Performing Arts (Community Music Program), Zions Bank (Banking), Nothing Bundt Cakes (Baked Goods), The Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant (Fine Dining – European and Plated Brunch), Thanksgiving Point (Event/Performance Venue), Westgate Park City Resort & Spa (Ski Resort) and Olive and Cocoa (Floral Design).

The 2015 winners will be feted at the Best of State Awards Gala on May 9, a festive evening featuring a double entrée dinner, live entertainment and celebrity presenters. Medals will be presented to all Best of State winners, and ten winners will take home a Best of State Statue—the BOSS®.
